The Belgian-Italian artist Patricia de Zutter and our Creative Director Karin Brobeil met 5 years ago. What they have in common is not only creativity and a passion for working with shapes and colours, but above all the desire to incorporate craftsmanship and its traditions into their designs.
The high standards and values of the furniture manufacturer Kettnaker find a like-minded counterpart in Patricia de Zutter. In this way, furniture and wallpaper design combine to form a convincing overall ensemble in terms of aesthetics and content.
"What I appreciate most about working with Patricia is her sense of the shared story that is told in our arrangements and her ability to breathe the perfect amount of attention into her designs without dominating. She is not only a designer of beautiful patterns on walls, but loves to give her personal creative response to our settings" explains Karin Brobeil.
Like many artists, fashion designers or even musicians, Patricia de Zutter is inspired by the surrounding nature, architecture and everything she encounters in daily life. Because everything that surrounds her is characterised by a multitude of patterns in different variations.
" Patterns have rhythms that reflect our environment, life, heartbeat, liturgies and rituals," Patricia de Zutter explains. For this reason, individual wallpaper design has an important place in interior design for the artist - we agree!
